Application
1. Where is a blanket used in printing?
Refer to the image below. The blanket is utilized to cover the blanket cylinder (also known as the intermediate cylinder) in each color unit within the printing machine.
2. How does it function?
In simple terms, the blanket transfers the image from the plate onto the paper. The image is "offset" onto the blanket and then onto the paper. The blanket creates a smoother image on most types of paper and can print on rough or heavy stocks and other media. This lithographic method is used in most offset presses.

Package and blanket details
Maintenance
Clean the blanket using fast volatile organic solvents.
Clean the rolls when changing ink colors or refilling.
Release the blanket from the cylinder when the printing machine has been stopped for an extended period.
Store new blankets in a dry, cool place, covered with a dark layer.
