Thermal transfer and digital image control
‌The core principle of digital hot stamping machine is to accurately transfer metal foil to the surface of the substrate through digital image processing technology and thermal transfer technology. ‌Its core process can be divided into the following links:‌

  • Digital image decomposition and signal conversion

The input digital image is decomposed into independent pixels, and the electrical signal is generated through software processing to control the operation of the hot stamping machine.
‌Key features‌: No need for traditional plate making, hot stamping pattern templates are directly generated through digital files, which significantly improves flexibility.

  • Thermal transfer process

‌Heating and transfer‌: The metal foil (such as aluminum foil) is locally heated by an electric heating element to soften the backing glue and produce stickiness. Under precisely controlled temperature (usually 150°C−200°C) and pressure, the metal foil is transferred to the surface of the substrate through the laser engraved hot stamping plate.
‌Precise positioning‌: Laser or electron beam positioning technology is used to ensure the precise attachment of complex patterns and fine text.

  • Cooling and shaping and separation of waste foil

After transfer, the metal foil is solidified and attached by rapid cooling, and then the unused waste foil is peeled off to complete the hot stamping process.

Main advantages (compared with traditional hot stamping)
‌High precision‌: Supports micron-level details, such as laser engraving hot stamping plate technology to achieve complex textures.
‌Environmental protection‌: Reduce the use of chemical solvents, in line with the trend of green printing.
‌Efficiency and cost‌: No need for plate making to shorten the production cycle, suitable for small batch customization.
